Geography word globe

Meets daily in Room 203

Students will learn and understand the interrelationships of people, places, and the environment.

Geography is the study of the United States and the world in spatial terms, providing a sense of place and regions, a knowledge of the physical systems that affect the characteristics, distribution, migration, and settlement of people, and the uses of resources. It is studied through the framework of the five themes: Location, Place, Human-Environment Interaction, Movement, and Regions.

The geographically knowledgeable student recognizes the interactions of place and people, and the impact of that interaction on history, economics, and governments.
